How one SoHo dinner conversation became 100 transformative TEDx talks. A story about reducing friction, creating conditions for others to shine, and the philosophy that changed everything.
This is exactly right. This is how working on and attending TEDxSantaBarbara felt: like I was critical to its success, that I was fully supported and free to explore and express my creativity to craft graphics. Working with you on the show was about honoring the (monumental) past, being fully present in the moment, and gaining momentum for the future. I appreciate the creative collaborators like @BrittJewitt and Lilian Pham -- and the entire core crew, show day volunteers, and the camera crane guy!!
reduce friction. of course.
It took a long time for that crystallization to appear one day. Ever since, it's just grown stronger as a point of view
Such a beautiful TED/TEDx journey. I still remember being in the audience at TEDxSantaBarbara in 2016 — a masterful production by you and Kymberlee.
Thank you, my friend. I'll never forget our conversation about you bringing TEDx into the jail. Wow.
